Patchwork on Central Park Class list 2012 Hand Patchwork: $120 for 3 Classes with Kate. 7.30-9.30pm This ongoing class is for beginners to advance quilters. Spend 3 weeks learning and perfecting the art of hand piecing. Thurs 23rd Feb, 8th & 22nd March. Thurs 12th, 26th April. & 10th May. Thurs 24th May, 7th & 21st June. Contemporary Quilt Class: $80 per class plus kit $125. 11-3pm Join Lynn and design your own quilt. Monday 21st May
Hand Quilting Class: $40 per class. 7.30 - 9.30pm Held on the 1st Monday of every month, this ongoing class teaches how to hand quilt your blocks together. Suitable for Beginners through to advance. Mon 5th March. Mon 2nd April. Mon 7th May. Mon 4th June Machine Patchwork Class: $240 for 6 classes with Kathy. 7.30-9.30pm You will be encouraged to make your own colour choices for this great machine sampler. Ideal class for a beginner or intermediate sewer. Get inspired by the class sample in beautiful blues and white. Wed 14th, 21st, 28th March, 4th, 18th April & 2nd May Sunburst Quilt: $180 for 4 Classes. Another hand pieced beauty to tempt you. Twelve sunburst blocks are sashed with four patches to make a quilt 1.7m x 2.2m. The sample is made in 'scrappy' style. 10th March 10.30-1.30pm (only 3 hour class), 24th March 10.30-12.30pm, 14th April 10.30-12.30pm & 5th May 10.30-12.30pm Small Quilt-in-a-Day Quilt Class: $100 Using quilt-as-you-piece and machine applied binding this cot or lap sized quilt is the quickest ever. Basic kowledge of rotaty cutting and machine piecing is necessary to take this class. Tue, March 27th, 10-3pm Kate's Sunday Class: $60 per class held once a month 12-3pm The perfect way to spend a sunday, hand sewing a piece of your choice with the lovely Kate! Very relaxing and inspiring. 26th Feb, 25th March, 29th April, 27th May, 24th June Mosaic Tiles Quilt class: $200 for 4 classes Hand pieced, this quilt is one block repeated, but explore 'fussy cutting' to acheive fabulous effects to deceive the eye. The finished quilt is approx. 2m square but can be made into a size that suits you. You will look at fabrics in a completely different way after making this quilt and come away with some great new skills. 7th Mar 12-3pm (pls note 3 hour class), 21st March 12-2pm, 18th April 12-2pm & 9th May 12 -3 (please note 3 hour class) Deep in the forest Quilt Class: $100 for 2 classes with Effie. 7.30-10pm Delightful machine pieced, large cot or small single bed sized quilt (but as always size can be altered to suit you). The sample has some enchanting simple embroidered and appliqued blocks. Lovely piece for baby. Tuesday 13th & 27th March
Rotary cutting and Machine pieced block class: $40 per class. 10am-12pm Good rotary cutting skills make your quilt projects enjoyable, simple and more importantly fun. Your finished block can be made into a lovely quilt or perhaps a cushion if our prefer. $30 will be refunded with the purchase of a rotary cutter for this class. 28th April Hand Applique Class: $120 for 3 classes with Carolyn 10.30am-12.30pm Learn how to achieve great results with needle turn applique. Often considered difficult or daunting, it's easy when you know how! Mon 7th, 14th and 28th May Circles Quilt Class: $240 for 6 classes 10.30am-12.30pm Gorgeous, intricate hand pieced circles. Each block will differ and Liberty fabrics can be used to great effect with this quilt. Fine tune your hand piecing skills, suitable for intermediate and above. Tues 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th May & 5th June Strippy Quilt: $200 for 5 Classes with Effie 7.30-9.30pm Hand pieced strippy quilt is a great way to start your patchwork adventure and learn 'how to' the right way. Great class for beginners. Tues 1st, 15th, 29th May & 26th June Cushion Class: $60 per class with Effie 10.30-1.30pm Professional looking cushions made easy in one 3 hour class. A simple way to update or add to the decor of your home and also makes a great gift idea. Sat 21st April. Tuesday 19th June
Garland Class: $60 per class with Lynn 12-3pm Come along and learn to make a variety of different types of garlands including mini bunting, butterfly and tassel garlands. These make a great present idea! Kit available. Sat 26th May
